In the series of three games this past weekend it was the Rays who took two of the three games as the Yankees salvaged getting swept by taking one of the three. The question now is whether or not the power balance In the AL East has actually changed. As we come closer to the end of the 2010 MLB season all are asking who is the favorite on MLB Betting odds to win the AL East?
Naturally the Yankees think they are without a doubt the best and if you check the MLB Odds you will see that the Yankees are picked as the Team to succeed! If you’re not sure check out the MLB Odds and MLB Betting lines at SBGGlobal.com and get up to 60% Bonus on your first deposit.
The Yankees enter the final leg of the season with on of the best offensive lineups in all of MLB Baseball who presently as a team are leading for RBI’s at 548 and 4th for HR’s at 127 and with a team average of .270 in the batting category.
The lineup for the Yankees from the first to the ninth spot all can be difficult outs, with Cano hitting .322 and Swisher leads with 22 homers and then you in this same lineup you have Rodriguez, Teixeira and Jeter who also rank with the best for their positions.
From the mound the Yanks are also very strong with three top pitchers in Sabathia (13), Hughes (12) and Pettitte (11) who all have wins in the double digits. Then you look to the Bullpen and they are strong with one of the best closers in MLB who is none other than Mariano Rivera.
Then we have the Rays who may be able to take this AL East Division Title and where they do not have the strong slugging power but they do have the speed and at present hold 1st place in all MLB with 136 stolen bases thus far. It’s amazing that of all their attempts at the steal they have only been called out 34 times in all. Their strength at the bat is form Crawford who is hitting .309 and Longoria is averaging .292 with 69 RBI’s and 15 homers.
We think of the Yankees have a real good pitching staff but if that’s the case then we would have to say the Rays have an excellent pitching staff Price who is 14-5 and has a 2.90 ERA, Niemann who is 9-3 and then Garza who is 11-5 and recently pitched a no-hitter. The Rays of Tampa Bay are 9-1 in their last ten games. Can they keep it up? Check out the MLB Odds on both the Rays and the Yankees.
Sitting in the background we have the Red Sox who are given Odds to take the AL East as a long shot. They have depth in their pitching staff and with Buchholz and Lester together have posted 22 wins, and surprise teams with their power in hitting with Beltre and Ortiz who have totaled 41 homers and 91 RBI’s. Boston can win the games but the question now is can they catch up with the Rays and Yankees who are burning the bases at present. This should prove interesting for the MLB Betting lines on the games sown the stretch of this AL East division race.
