The Red Sox are attempting to be the first team to sweep the MLB best team in this 2010 season the Rays. If they played as they did Monday night with the 6-1 win, and they only allowed the Rays one hit for the game. Then this sweep is highly possible. Even with the loss the Rays are still favored for MLB Betting lines and MLB odds at present.
Starting pitchers for tonight’s game is John Lackey for the Red Sox who is 4-3 with and ERA of 5.07 with 34 Ks and 26 BBs. For the Rays they are starting Matt Garza who is 5-2 with an ERA of 2.37 with 54 Ks and 20 BBs. Garza has never lost to the Red Sox while playing at home. And for Lackey he is 0-2 in his last two starts against the Rays.
Unfortunately for the Rays they have played better this season on the road than they have on their own home ground. They are 19-5 on the road this season and still pretty decent at home with a 13-8 record at the Tropicana. Even with the last two losses to the Red Sox the Rays have still managed to win 11 of their last 14 games completed this 2010 season.
We question the MLB betting lines and MLB odds and do they reflect the actual records of each team.
Remember the Rays still have MLB best record this season of 32-14 and who lost another series at home losing two of three to the Yankees the first week of the MLB season.
The Rays are 13-9 this 2010 season at home while the Red Sox are an only 12-10 while playing away and on the road. With that said, it appears that the Rays have a 61 % chance of winning this matchup. Will this have a negative effect on the MLB Betting lines or MLB odds for this series game?
Baseball Odds Makers have the lines at present for the RAYS at -1 ½ (+135) and the RED SOX at +1 ½ (-155) and the Total – Over 8 ½ (-115) and under 8 ½ (-105) and the RAYS are -153 and the RED SOX are +143 on the Money Line.
