Tonight the Yankees hope to get their first series win at Target Field and over the Twins. Starting pitchers are for the Yankees Javier Vazquez who is 3-4 with an ERA of 6.69 with 34 Ks and 19 Walks. For the Twins they will start Nick Blackburn who is 5-1 with an ERA of 4.50 with 15 Ks and 13 Walks.
The Yankees actually had two victories yesterday as they started off the day finishing a previously rained out game which they won 1-0 then got a home run from Nick Swisher as the game came to the top of the ninth and they went on to win game 2 of the 3 game series 3-2.
The Twins baseball team has not been performing very well lately. All-in-all the Twins have won 4 of their last 9 games going 4 for 5 and have dropped 2 1/2 games in their division standings. As the stats show this week at home hasn’t been real favorable either.
The Yankees are 15-12 this 2010 season in the away games, while the Twins are a weak 14-9 while playing on their home turf. With that said, it appears that this is still a close game and both the Yankees and the Twins have a 45-55 % chance of winning this matchup. Will this have a negative effect on the MLB Betting lines or MLB odds for this series game?
