In a classic state of Florida David versus Goliath matchup the #13 ranked University of Miami and Florida A&M will go head to head in the teams’ 2010 college football betting season opener. And in case you didn’t know, Miami is Goliath in this scenario and A&M is David.
But unlike in the biblical telling of this story A&M is unlikely to send this NCAA football betting giant to defeat.
Kickoff for this Thursday matchup is set for 7:35 Eastern Time and SBG Global opened with the Canes as a ???-point favorite with an over/under total at ???.
This game has the potential to get very ugly very quickly. The Canes are one of the most athletic teams in the country and have a group of receivers that is dripping with talent. Led by Heisman candidate, Junior QB Jacory Harris who threw for over 3,000 yards last season and led this team to a 9-4 record, this offense has the potential to become one of the best in college football betting this season.
Harris has a seemingly endless supply of weapons headlined by Leonard Hankerson, Travis Benjamin and LaRon Byrd. WR is the deepest position on the team and there are a half a dozen players at this position that are capable of scoring every time they touch the ball. But Harris won’t need to look to pass as much as in the past as the team’s stable of RBs is equally as talented. The team rushed for 144 yards a game last season but should that total increase as RB Damien Barry and Lamar Miller should form a big play tandem in the back field.
The offensive line has been an issue in the past for this team but that position also seems to have been shored up. Even with the recent injury to senior OL starter Joel Figueroa the team looks to be in good shape thanks to the arrival of OT Seantrel Henderson, the top ranked high school football player in the country, who will see immediate playing time at tackle.
Miami has national title aspirations this sports betting season and they should get off to a good start by beating A&M senseless.
