This will be a very interesting year for the Gators as we review the last four years when they were able to 48 of 55 games, won two SEC Championships while playing in three SEC Championship games and won two National Championships and the end of the Tebow era. They lost the SEC Championship game in 2009 to the Alabama Tide after completing a 12-0 season.
But they were able to get some revenge as they beat Cincinnati 51-24 in the Sugar Bowl. Unfortunately for the UF team they lost 10 starters including Tebow with 8 of the 10 going to the NFL in the draft. However in 2010 they look strong and Brantley at QB should be another great QB for Florida. On the defense they lost some of the nation’s top 2009 defensive players and a year to rebuild on the defense.
The RedHawks are coming off a terrible 2009 season with a new coach that was not able to the program around in the short period of time he was there! Their hoping 2010 is another story and the Coach Haywood knows that they have to improve their run offense and an attack on offense that is balanced. He believes that with the strong offensive line with the returning starters and a lot of other players with a lot of game time experience that they can bring it all together.
On Defense in 2009 they were not very good a stopping the run but Haywood thinks with the experience and the talent he now has that the RedHawks can increase the Win Column sufficiently this 2010 season. Whoever makes their schedule did not do them any favors this year like starting against the Gators away as well as Missouri, and Cincinnati and other top conference teams.
