Next we have the No. 10 Auburn Tigers who ended last season at 8-5. They have a lot of talent returning both on defense and offense. They lost to Alabama 26-21 this past season and then won the Outback Bowl defeating Northwestern. Their biggest challenge this year to be 12-0 is to beat Clemson.
Then Comes No. 9 the Texas Longhorns who lost to Alabama last year in the National Championship game 37-21. There schedule is not easy but they only have three road games. They return a lot of talent and if their quarterback proves true they have a great chance to be 12-0. Now No. 8 Nebraska Corhuskers who had an improved 2009 season at 10-4. They lost a conference thriller to Texas and finished with a win over Arizona in the Holiday Bowl 33-0. Mostly they will miss Ndamukong Suh the All-American defensive lineman.
In order to go 12-0 this season they have to beat Texas.
No. 7 the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders who were 10-3 last season and won in the New Orleans Bowl over Southern Mississippi. If they can upset Georgia Tech they can be 12-0 and it is predicted they will win the Sunbelt conference.
No.6 the Nany Midshipmen that were 10-4 in 2009 and they beat Missouri 35-13 in the Texas Bowl. It appears that the players they lose all have solid back-ups waiting to take over. They have the possibility of being the favorite in every game they play this 2010 Season. For them to go 12-0 they have to get past two games, one with Maryland and the other against Notre Dame.
