It’s difficult to reconcile exactly what these numbers mean in terms of a final score but if you’re thinking of betting on the Super Bowl a total of more than 44 points seems likely.

The Dallas Cowboys, the self proclaimed “America’s Team” coming off a 12-4 season with the roster intact and gunning to become the first team in history to play in a Super Bowl in their own city.

The Green Bay Packers entered the season with every reason to believe they’d win the NFC North and their high flying offense would lead them deep into the playoffs.

Both of these teams were leading NFC contenders for a Super Bowl bid and then the season started.

The two teams have been beset with injuries and poor execution and have just 6 wins between them. The Packers (5-3) are in far better shape than the ‘Boys (1-6) but neither has come close to living up to their promise.

If the Cowboys had the talent on defense they could exploit this weakness, but they don’t. So they won’t and they’ll likely give up a heap of points to the Packers. Dallas has one of the worst defenses in the league and is giving up 26.7 points per game.

Green Bay will be looking to head into their Bye Week (Week 10) with a win and try and heal up a bit. Dallas shouldn’t present much of a challenge and the Packers should win this sports betting sleeper without much problem.

Yes, the same Browns that have been the laughing stock of the NFL for the past several seasons. The same Browns team that has had 3 different starting QBs in the first 6 weeks of the NFL season and now currently has a rookie penciled at starter. During that span McCoy has thrown for 355 yards and completed 65.3 % of his passes.

The Browns will also have their beat in the backfield, Peyton Hillis (4.4 yards per carry, 5 TD), healthy again. Hillis is the type of bulldozing running back that can destroy the Pats defense and the kind that has given them trouble up the middle in the past.

Throw into play the fact that Browns are also coming off a bye week with an extra week for the staff to prepare McCoy for Bill Belichick’s exotic defensive schemes and the playing field gets leveled even further.

These variables don’t guarantee an NFL gambling victory for the Browns, but if you’re looking to bet on an upset this week, this game might just be your best option.

But in Week 8 against a crippled Green Bay team that had lost 2 out of its last 3 games the Jets looked like the worst team in the league, losing 9-0 at home in one of the ugliest shuts outs you’ll ever see.

The Lions (2-5), on the other hand, have had no trouble scoring this season and if the Jets don’t figure some things out in a hurry they could suffer their second straight defeat to an NFC North team this weekend.

New York should have dominated the Packers. The team was coming off a Bye week, was well rested and had plenty of extra time to game plan against a Green Bay offense that has been decimated by injuries to key players this NFL gambling season.

QB Mark Sanchez is still trying to prove he’s an NFL caliber QB but after a solid start he’s been awful the past few games and has 4 INTs in the past 2 games. Detroit may only have 2 wins on the season but over the past 4 games this team has gone 2-2 and averaged more than 30 points a game. With starting QB Matthew Stafford (4 TDs last week vs. a good Washington D) this offense looks it can score even more points.

The Jets defense has been exceptional again this season (15.7 ppg, 2nd best in the NFL) but its one weakness has been the passing game (218.6 ypg, and 10 TDs).

That’s exactly where the Lions will attack and that’s why Detroit has a good shot at upsetting the Jets in this sports betting matchup.

The Sea chickens are one of the pleasant surprises of the young NFL season and have a .5 game lead in the up for grabs NFC West. Under first-year head coach Pete Carroll this team has done better than most pundits expected and gone 3-0 at home this year.

However, Seattle will face its toughest challenge of the season so far when the Giants come to town this weekend.

The Seahawks defense has been capable, giving up just 20 ppg, but that’s been against mostly inferior competition and against well-balanced Giants attack (25 points per game, 388.7 total yards per game) it should be quite vulnerable.

The Giants are currently the best team in the NFC –by a wide margin- and seem to only get better with every game. The passing attack, led by QB Eli Manning, got off to a rough start with Manning throwing 6 INTs in his first 3 games but its seems on track now as does the running game.

The Giants are averaging 145.4 yards per game on the ground and if that isn’t enough to grind the Seattle defense into submission the offense also has 14 passing TDs on the year.

The Giants are simply too talented for decent Seahawks squad and they’ll get the Week 9 sports betting.

This is this first time these two teams have met with each being ranked in AP Top 25 Poll. Both reams trail Oregon in Pac-10 and without a win it will be unlikely for an appearance in the Rose Bowl. This game is basically a match-up of the Stanford offensive line against the Arizona defensive unit. These types of Stats make a game more challenging.

The latest on the NCAA Football odds on this game is that Stanford is favored at – 9 ½ with the OV/UN 56 and on the Money Line Stanford is -345 and Arizona is +285. All Odds and Lines will move often as wagering volume demands.

Unheralded 2nd year RB Arian Foster shattered records on his way to a 231 yards 3 TD day against a helpless Indy defense. After losing S Bob Sanders, a key component to the run defense and will struggle against New York’s run attack.
