But as any NHL odds fan knows the Flyers have fought their way out of bigger hockey betting jams than being down 2-0 in a NHL playoff series and still have plenty of life. Still, if you’re a Blackhawks fan you have to like the way things are going so far in this hockey betting series.

After an offensive explosion in Game 1, Game 2 was a much more defensive-minded affair with just 5 total goals scored. Things also got a bit physical and this series could start to get choppy in Games 3 and 4. The teams were much more disciplined on defense in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup betting action and any player that crossed into enemy territory was sure to get a check and anyone looking to camp in front of the net was sure to get a stick to their mid-section.

Both teams tightening up around the goal led to much fewer pucks finding the back of the net and a much cleaner Stanley Cup betting game.

Chicago’s Antti Niemi was the star of the game saving 32 of 33 shots on goal and pitching 55 minutes of shut out NHL playoff betting action. And that was really the difference in this game as Philly’s Michael Lieghton once again couldn’t’ keep the puck out of the net when he had to.

Once again the Hawks star player in the hockey betting this post season, Jonathon Toews (26 points in the NHL playoff betting) was held scoreless. And once again Stanley Cup odds veteran Marion Hossa stepped up and netted the first goal of the night early in the second period. A second goal 30 seconds later by Ben Eager sealed the deal.

But the Flyers pulled to within one goal late in the game and had plenty of chances, the puck just didn’t bounce their way and Niemi came up big at just the right time.
