To borrow from the great Yogi Berra this NBA season is like “Déjà vu all over again.” The best team in the West so far this season has been the Lakers. The best team so far in the East has been the Celtics and if things continue this we we’re headed for another Lakers vs. Celtics finals, the same as in 2008.
Obvious it’s much too soon to start predicting NBA Finals match ups and the best record in the online betting schedule doesn’t always guarantee a spot in the Finals either. But according to the online betting odds these two teams are still the favorites.
In the East the Celtic look like the team with the best chance to get home court advantage throughout the basketball betting post season. They will all but certainly win the watered down Atlantic division and because their division opponents are so weak they’ll have an easier schedule overall and likely win the most games.
In the West the Lakers don’t have nearly so easy a road to hoe but they’ve got talent to spare and when healthy are unquestionably the most talented and best team in the NBA. The path to the Finals is littered with plenty of competitive teams in both conferences. In the East, Orlando looks like they could repeat as conference champs and LeBron and the Cavs are never an easy win.
In the West the Mavs, Nuggets, Spurs, Suns and several other teams will all be tough outs in the betting lines for the playoffs. June is a long way off but right now it would be hard to say that Celts and Lakers won’t be in the Finals.
