No one could have predicted this beforehand but the basketball betting series between the Atlanta Hawks and the Milwaukee Bucks is turning into arguably the most compelling series in the NBA playoff action so far. The Hawks were expected to run wild over the Bucks in the basketball betting action and end this series in 4 games, 5 games max.
But here we are, Game 5 of this NBA playoff betting series, headed back to Altanta with the series tied 2-2. Who would have thought it?
The Bucks have proven once again that this is a team that won’t do down without a fight and the Hawks are going to have be at their best if they want to advance in this basketball betting competition.
After the Bucks star center and top scoring option Andrew Bogut was knocked out of the NBA playoff betting action with injuries the Bucks postseason betting hopes seemed over before they even started. But somehow the team has bounced back behind the inspired play of rookie PG Brandon Jennings. Jennings has had his way with Hawks PG Mike Bibby, penetrating at will and finding open teammates who have hit big shots in the past two NBA betting games.
The Bucks have also played some scrappy defense and the Hawks have proven to be a sloppy team if pressed. But Atlanta is still the much more talented team in this basketball betting equation and with two of the next three games in this NBA betting series to be played in Atlanta the Hawks still have the upper hand in the sports betting.
The Hawks are one of the best home teams in the NBA odds action with a record of 34-7 and rarely lose in front of their fans. Josh Johnson has been solid throughout this series (29 points, 9 assists in Game 4) and should have another good performance in Game 5. If he can just get some help from a teammate, like Jamal Crawford, in the scoring department the Hawks should be able to run away with this basketball betting contest and look close out the series in Game 6 in Milwaukee or in a worst case scenario, Game 7 in Atlanta.
