The Charlotte Bobcats have many things to be excited about but winning its first NBA betting playoff series is not one of them. The expansion franchise in North Carolina recently qualified for its first basketball betting playoff series in the team’s NBA history this year after compiling a record of 44-38 this season. This was a tremendous “first” for the Cats but after being mopped up by the Orlando Magic in round one of the NBA playoff betting action, its clear this team has plenty of room to improve.
Still, in retrospect, this was the biggest year in franchise history for this young club and it’s got a lot to look forward to in the upcoming NBA betting season. First of all, making the NBA playoff betting competition is a pretty big deal. Sure they got swept in the first round but the team they played, the defending Eastern Conference Champion Orlando Magic, is a pretty good team.
Also, the team is under new ownership, some guy named Michael Jordan –basketball betting fans have probably heard of him. With Jordan at the helm there is buzz of excitement about this team and there should be little doubt that free agents will eager to sign for the retired NBA betting legend after the season ends.
The team also seems to have a solid core of talent with re-signing of All Star Gerald Wallace (18.2 ppg, 10.0 rpg) and mid season pick up Steven Jackson (20.6 apg, 5.0 rpg). The team can no doubt pick up some more talent in the upcoming draft and with one of the deepest free agency classes in the history of NBA betting coming on the market this off-season you can be sure the hyper-competitive Jordan will look to make a splash.
The biggest question mark that remains for this team is who will coach the franchise in the upcoming NBA wagering season? Larry Brown is 70 years-old and adequate as a coach but he’s most likely looking to retire and one thing is certain: he doesn’t have what it take to lead this team to an NBA Championship.
So while there may be a new coach at the helm of this team next basketball betting season there is a lot to build upon for this young squad even if they were embarrassed by the Magic in the opening round of the 2010 NBA playoff betting.
