It is pretty simple for the New York Jets on Sunday night. Win and they make the playoffs, lose and they are out. A few other teams will be interested in the outcome of this game because if the Jets lose another team is going to get in. The problem for all of those other hopefuls is that the Jets are at home and the Bengals may rest some of their starters. It is also very possible that if the Jets win, the teams would meet next week in the Wild Card round at Cincinnati.

This will be the last NFL betting game at Giants Stadium unless the Jets happen to host the AFC Championship which is unlikely. The Jets are 4-2 when quarterback Mark Sanchez does not throw an interception. That should mean they run the ball with Thomas Jones on Sunday night and play defense. Their defense leads the league in scoring defense at 15.7 points per game. They may not get challenged much by a Cincinnati team that doesn’t have much to play for. The Bengals could be playing for a three seed instead of a four seed but it is not that big a deal in the playoffs.
