College Basketball Betting – Pac 10 has Reached a New Low
Posted by Anthony Carpenter on March 13, 2010 | No comments yet
There are several conferences in college basketball betting that are the equivalent to the sports royalty. Just as there are individual programs in the NCAA odds like UCLA, Kentucky, Duke and North Carolina that stand out among the college basketball betting so too are their conferences that stand out. The ACC, the Big East and perhaps none more so than the PAC 10.
Until this year.
This is the single worst performance by the PAC 10 in the NCAA odds perhaps ever. It’s almost unheard of not to have at least one PAC 10 team in the national title discussion and at least several ranked in the top 25 at any given point during the college basketball betting season.
But in 2010 it’s hard to even remember there was a ranked PAC 10 team. Forget about an NCAA odds championship, just getting a team in the college basketball betting tournament would be a great accomplishment considering the awful play in the conference this season.

March Madness Betting Competition Wide Open
Posted by Paul Pierce on March 13, 2010 | No comments yet
The calendar says March and Madness is in the air. For college basketball betting fans this what you live for. The few weeks in March and April when March Madness takes over and college basketball betting is king, if only for a few fleeting moments.
The basketball betting in 2010 should be as good as we’ve seen in awhile. The main reason is that the talent is as good, or better, than ever thanks to the NBA rule change prohibiting players from jumping straight to the NBA. As such top talents are playing for at least a year of college level basketball betting competition and March Madness has been much the richer for it.
But that rule has been in effect for several of the most recent bouts of March Madness Odds. What makes this year so interesting is that the competition is wide open. Sure, there have been several teams that have been dominant throughout the season (think Kansas, Syracuse, Kentucky) but past that the top 25 rankings have been a constant game of musical chairs and the world waits to see who will have a chair when the music finally stops.

NCAA Basketball Lines – Don’t Believe the Hype on the Teams out West
Posted by Charlie Brown on March 13, 2010 | No comments yet
The colorful history of the American West is full of glorious tales and legends based less on fact on more on embellishment and that seems to the true of the realm of basketball betting as well. While the there are several teams from mid-level NCAA odds conferences that have penetrated deep into the top 25 college basketball betting don’t believe for a minute that these teams are legitimate contenders for the NCAA odd title.
The beauty of the college basketball betting tournament is that once the March Madness begins, the slate is wiped clean and everyone is on equal footing. It’s put up or shut up time and every team in the NCAA odds has ample opportunity to prove themselves worthy of their invite to the Big Dance.

Big East,Big 12 and Big 10 Dominate NCAA Betting Hoops this Year
Posted by Anthony Carpenter on March 11, 2010 | No comments yet
The big story in recent years in the college basketball betting scene has been the egalitarian state of competition on the court during the NCAA tourney. But this year, with the biggest NCAA odds event just weeks away it’s hard to view the competition through this lens.
In fact, it’s hard to remember a time when the NCAA odds tournament has been competitive among conferences than this year.
A quick rundown of the current rankings makes this basketball betting development painfully clear. Of the top 25 spots up for grabs in the rankings 14 of those slots are being occupied by just three conferences. The Big East, the Big 12 and the Big 10 are dominating the basketball betting competition this year. Over half of the 25 slots (56% are currently occupied by one of these conferences.
Further of the top ten teams in the NCAA odds seven of them can be found in these three conferences. That is not a typo: 70% of the top ten teams in the country are either in the Big East, Big 12 or Big 10.

Iowa State averages 72.5points per game, shooting 44.4 percent from the field and are 43rd in the nation in offensive rebounding. Who’s the College Basketball Betting Player of the Year
Posted by John Watson on March 10, 2010 | No comments yet
It’s hard to believe that the college basketball betting season is almost over. March is now upon us and that means that madness will soon engulf the world of NCAA odds competition and some incredible college basketball betting is just around the corner. And so the relative calm before the NCAA odds storm is a great moment to reflect on the award for the top player in the sport.
Choosing the top player in the college basketball betting is one the toughest individual honors to choose in the NCAA odds as there are so many variables to consider. There are players who put up monster numbers for bad teams or in week conferences that can be misleading and must be weeded out. And then there are those players whose numbers may not be the most impressive of the lot but it’s obvious that they are among the top players in the land.
Any short list of top players must include Villanova guard Scotty Reynolds. He just may be the best college basketball betting player in the game. He’s averaging 18.9 ppg and 3.5 apg. His assist number might seem low but is there any other player you want on your team for the big stage?
