Iowa won this season with defense and timely plays. Some might even call it a lot of luck. The key for Iowa on offense was the play of Ricky Stanzi. The defense for Iowa was there all season as they held teams to 15.5 points per game.

Jonathan Dwyer had 1,346 yards and 14 TDs while quarterback Josh Nesbitt had 991 yards rushing and 18 TDs. Georgia Tech can also throw when needed as wide receiver Demaryius Thomas had 46 receptions, for 1,154 yards and eight TDs.
