With only two calendar days left in the month of February, it’s safe to say that March Madness betting has set in by in the minds of most college basketball betting fans. Most of these people are crazy to begin with and when you throw in the NCAA odds action for the upcoming Tournament it’s too much for their brains and for the next five weeks these people will be barely functioning human beings, distracted to no-end with college basketball betting.
Let the games begin!
There are many, many, many good teams out there this year and although the NCAA odds rankings would lead one to believe that the Tournament will be dominated by the Big East and the Big 12 this season there are plenty of teams out there flying underneath the college basketball betting radar this year and there some teams that haven’t caught the eye of the NCAA odds experts that are very capable of pulling some big upsets.
Cornell is a team that comes to mind. Those brainy Ivy League may not be athletic but they can shoot, don’t commit turnovers and stymie better teams in the early rounds of the tourney.
Another potential dark horse in the mix is Maryland. The Terps have been a marginal top-25 team all season but have played some of their best ball against the best competition. Greivis Vasquez is a monster and plays huge on the big stage.
And don’t overlook Louisville. The Red Birds are well coached, immensely talented and if this team can play a solid Big East tourney and get some momentum going, it’s hard to say when they’ll stop.
