The Phoenix Suns are the team that nobody expected to show up to the Western Conference Finals betting action, especially after getting handed their hats by the Lakers in the first two games of this NBA betting odds series. But the Suns appear in to win it and after taking the next two games in the basketball betting series at home and losing to the defending NBA betting champs at LA in Game 5, the series now heads back to the desert will the Suns will look to even things at 3-3.
There should be little doubt among the NBA betting odds public that Suns have the talent to win this series. After nearly stealing Game 5 on the road, only to lose heartbreaker at the buzzer (103-101) this team has proven that it can toe-to-toe with the champs.
Steve Nash (29 points, 11 assists in Game 5) started a bit slow in this series struggling with the defense pressure from the Lakers’ guards but has found his groove and has been brilliant of late in this basketball betting series. His running mate Amare Stoudemire has been inconsistent going from a 42 point explosion earlier in the series to 19 points in the Game 5 loss. For the Suns to win Game 6 Stoudemire must score 25+ and not get into foul trouble against the talented Lakers big men. Los Suns also need to shoot the ball well from behind the arc and continue to get great bench scoring as they have in the past few games of this NBA betting series.
The Lakers can close things out in the desert and book a third straight trip to the NBA Finals betting action. Kobe Bryant has been brilliant this series averaging 30+ points and nearly 10 assists over the past few games. But it hasn’t been enough as the Lakers bench has made almost zero contribution to the basketball betting cause.
The Suns have proven that they are good enough to beat the Lakers without bench help and even if the Lakers three ‘Bigs’ (Gasol, Bynum, Odom) get 20 points apiece the Suns can beat this squad.
Look for the Suns to win Game 6 and push a Game 7 in this NBA betting series.
