The Boston Celtics may be the #4 seed and have home court advantage against the #5 seed Miami Heat but the Heat are the team that is playing better entering the NBA playoffs. The Celtics have gone 3-7 in their last ten games and no one really knows if Boston can get things going the right way again.
“I hope I know. I think I know, but I don’t know. I don’t think anyone really knows.” Boston head coach Doc Rivers said.
Celtics are listed as 4.5 -point favorite with a total of 185 at SBG Global.
The Celtics have big name players like Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce but this season their best player on most nights has been Rajon Rondo. The Celtics were not a very good home team this season as they actually lost more games at home (17) than on the road (15). The one positive for Boston is that they were 3-0 versus the Heat this season. Miami doesn’t seem worried though. “I think we like grind-out games more so than up-and-down,” Miami’s Dwyane Wade said, “Boston has always made the plays, the shots at the end of ball games to beat us. Normally, that’s what we’re pretty good at.” All three games this season between Miami and Boston were decided by seven points or less. Miami finished the season winning 12 of their last 13 games. “We feel we’re a different team now,” head coach Eric Spoelstra said. “All three games were competitive, so it is a little bit deceptive. You have to respect what they have done.”
