So much for the idea that Brandon Roy would rise from the grave and lead the Blazers to a Game 5 NBA betting victory over the Suns. After tying the game at two games apiece in Portland, and the return of team’s star player, it seemed like the Blazers had all the momentum in the world heading into Game 5 in Phoenix. Yet, nothing could have been farther from the basketball betting truth.
In Game 5 the Suns shot the lights out and mopped up the court with the Blazers in a lop-sided 107-88 NBA betting victory. With the win the Suns not only take a 3-2 lead in this NBA playoff betting series but they also put themselves in the driver seat to advance to the next round of the NBA post season betting action.
The Suns are now just one game away from clinching a spot in the second round of the basketball betting post season and one step closer to grabbing the first NBA betting title in franchise history. Clearly this team isn’t among the NBA odds favorites to win the NBA title, but the NBA odds makers do like the team’s chances to advance past the Blazers.
The Suns enter Game 6 with a lot of confidence and the team is playing well. In the Game 5 win the team had some of the best scoring balance it’s had during the entire basketball betting series. Channing Frye shot the lights out and led all Suns scorers with 20 points. All told Phoenix had five players in double-figures in the NBA betting victory with Amare Stoudemire and Jared Dudley each pitching in 19 point apiece.
For the Blazers, Roy was little help as he managed just 5 points in 19 minutes in his second NBA playoff betting game of 2010. LeMarcus Alridge and Jared Bayless helped lead Portland in a poor offensive showing netting 17 points apiece. PG Andre Miller kept up his scoring pace and led all scorers in this basketball betting matchup with 21 points.
The good news for the Blazers is that Game 6 is Portland and the team plays very well at home and has a legitimate chance to push this NBA playoff betting series to a Game 7.
