The Orlando Magic will try to have the NBA playoffs odds favor them and hopefully bounce back from a Game 1 loss as they host the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Magic were coming off two consecutive sweeps as they had beaten Charlotte and Atlanta in the first two rounds. They appeared rusty against Boston and by the time they got it going in Game 1 it was too late. They should be much better on Tuesday night.
Orlando is a 7.5 point favorite with a total of 188 at SBG Global Sportsbook.
In Game 1 NBA playoffs betting fans saw how it was the Celtics holding on for a 92-88 road victory. Ray Allen had 25 points to lead the Celtics while Paul Pierce added 22 points and nine rebounds. “It was just the plays that I had,” Allen said. The Celtics were able to control Dwight Howard as he had just 13 points and 12 rebounds. The Magic were led by Vince Carter who had 23 points. Orlando needs Howard to come back and have a good game on Tuesday. “We were anxious,” said Howard, “I don’t think we moved the ball like we needed to get them off our bodies. That’s what we have to do to beat this team.”
Orlando has won eight straight and 27 of their last 30 games before losing on Sunday. They scored only 88 points on Sunday though which was their lowest total so far in the playoffs. “The biggest problem on the offensive end clearly was the turnovers,” head coach Stan Van Gundy said. “We said it going in. It was what did Cleveland in the last series against them.” Orlando made a late run at the Celtics and nearly pulled the game out before falling short.
Here are the NBA betting stats for Tuesday’s game. The Celtics are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as an underdog. The Celtics are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Orlando. The Magic are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 playoff games as a favorite. The Magic are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 home games.
The Under is 8-2 in the Celtics last 10 Conference Finals games. The Under is 3-1-1 in Orlando’s last 5 home games. The Under is 8-1 in the last 9 meetings between the two teams.
