The Boston Bruins are perhaps the most distinctive team still alive in the NHL playoff betting. This team has a style that is all its own and it may not be pretty, but so far it’s ugly playing style has been awfully effective in the hockey betting competition.
The #6 seed Bruins beat their first round opponents, the #3 seed Buffalo Sabres into submission and are now mugging their way through the second round of the Stanley Cup betting competition against the #7 seed Philadelphia Flyers. The Bruins are a very physical team, in fact, they are a dirty team and you had better have your helmet strapped on tight when you face this team –especially in the NHL betting postseason.
This is a squad that relishes the rough stuff and will put a check on player within a 20 meter radius. Many hockey betting fans find this type of play repugnant and maybe even boring. And perhaps it is, but its legal, and it allows the Bruins to make up for a lack of talent. It may be ugly, but it’s smart, and appears like it’s going to take Boston all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals betting action.
The Bruins grabbed the first two games in this NHL playoff betting series and could be up 3-0 by the time Game 4 rolls around. Philadelphia is not a hospitable place to go in the NHL postseason, or any time for that matter, and the hometown fans will be rabid. But at the end of the day the Phillies are not a good team. Philly is probably the worst team still alive in the NHL playoff betting action at the moment and besides lacking talent the squad also lacks NHL post season betting experience.
They will try and play a similar type of game as the Bruins but simply aren’t as effective at this kind of hockey. The first two games of this hockey betting series were tight games, both decided by 1 goal. Game 1 was an explosion of goals as the Bruins pulled out a 5-4 OT win in what was actually a pretty entertaining hockey betting match.
In Game 2 the Bruins also gutted out a 1 goal win, 3-2. The more these teams get acclimated the lower the score is likely to be in their forthcoming NHL Playoff betting match ups. Philly should win at least one game at home if not both and this series might get interesting.
