For Stanley Cup betting fans the NHL Finals are a team competition that pits the best of the best against one another in the ultimate team competition. It is rare that any individual player in the NHL odds action can put his individual stamp on any NHL playoff betting series –let alone the biggest stage of them all: the NHL finals.
But this year, Stanley Cup betting fans will have a chance to see the game’s best players in the NHL playoff betting with some of them likely leading their teams to the NHL finals betting action. This year, was with every year for the past 3 NHL betting seasons two players have towered over the others. Alex Ovechkin and Sydney Crosby, reigning NHL Betting MVPs that have a virtual lock on the trophy once again dominated the individual stats while their teams dominated NHL betting opponents.
Once again the two were at the top of NHL scoring charts. But this year they were joined by an outsider in the race for the NHL scoring title and Henrik Sedin of the Vancouver Cannucks actually outplayed the two superstars and won the NHL scoring title.
Sedin racked up 112 points (29 goals, 83 assists) and beat out both Ovechkin (50 goals, 59 assists) and Crosby, who ironically both ended the year with 109 points tied for second best in the NHL betting competition. And as hockey betting fans will note Crosby wrapped up his first Rocket Richard award as the top goal scorer in the NHL betting (his 51 goals tied with Tampa Bay’s Steven Stamkos).
But the scoring fireworks don’t end here as all three of these players will not only be featured in the NHL playoff betting, but their teams are also big favorites in the hockey odds to advance to the Stanley Cup betting action.
