The Buffalo Sabres were one of the most consistent teams in hockey betting during the NHL regular season and most hockey odds makers gave them a legitimate shot to reach the Stanley Cup finals from the East. But after playing three games in the NHL playoff betting action the Sabres are now staring up out of 2-1 hole to the Boston Bruins and seem a long way off course to reach the Stanley Cup betting.
This series has been just about as physical as is humanely possible and unfortunately for the Sabres fans, Buffalo has been on the wrong end of the physicality. Buffalo (45-27-10) finished the NHL betting season by claiming the Northeast Division title and nabbing the #3 seed. For the Sabres, that seemed like a pretty good NHL playoff betting spot to be in considering that the Bruins struggled for most of the season and had to rely on a hot streak at the end of the year to wrap up a spot in NHL postseason betting action.
But the #6 Bruins (39-30-13) have manhandled the Sabres this series and aside from a game one gem in which Buffalo keeper Ryan Miller saved the day the Bruins have been in full control of this NHL betting series.
The Bruins have dictated the tempo from the get go and the Sabres can’t even get near the net to get a shot. And if they do happen to get the puck in shooting range the Bruins make them pay. It doesn’t possible that something like this could happen in the NHL playoff betting where the best of the hockey betting best go head to head but the Bruins are dominating the Sabres. You can see it in the players’ body language and if they Sabres don’t come out in Game 4 and punch the Bruins in the mouth this hockey betting series is over. And so are the Sabres Stanley Cup betting dreams.
Expect Buffalo to come very aggressive in Game 4 at the Boston Garden. The team must strike first and strike early. If the Sabres can get a few early goals Miller should be able to hold the lead and the Sabres can even the NHL playoff betting series at two games apiece. If not, this NHL betting series is over.
