There is life in Detroit as this Stanley Cup betting series heads back for a Game 5 in San Jose on Saturday, May 8th. Not only is there life for the Red Wings but plenty of it as demonstrated by the Game 4 massacre that the team delivered to the Sharks in their 7-1 defeat. But one game hardly makes an NHL playoff betting series and the Wings are still in huge 3-1 hole.
But if any team in the NHL betting action can come back from a 3-0 deficit it’s this highly experience Red Wings team. Game 4 was a real eye-opener for most hockey betting fans and it certainly had to be an eye-opening experience for the Sharks who until that point in the NHL playoff betting series had had their way with Detroit.
It’s not all that surprising that the Wings win at least one game in this hockey betting series but a 7-1 mauling is an emphatic display by this team that this NHL betting series is far from over. The Wings have been at the top of the NHL betting heap for many years now and after making two Stanley Cup betting finals in a row much of the sports betting community is sick of seeing these guys win and will be happy to seem eliminated from the NHL postseason betting.
But the Wings won’t go without a fight. And in fact this NHL betting series has been much tighter than the 3-1 series record might indicate. All three of the Sharks wins in this series have been by 1 goal (strangely enough they won the first three games 4-3 every time). A lucky bounce here and made goal there and this series could easily be tied or the Wings could even be ahead.
The Shark Tank is an awful place for hockey betting opponents to play, especially during the NHL playoff betting action, but the Wings no what’s at stake and they do not want their 2010 NHL betting season to end. Look for the Wings to get another win in Game 5 and push the series back to Hockeytown, USA.
