There’s an old adage in the NBA betting odds action that a playoff series doesn’t start until a team wins a game on the road. If there’s any truth to that statement than sports betting fans around the world are still waiting for the Western Conference Finals to begin as the Suns took Game three on Sunday 118-109.
The Lakers won both games on their home court in a very once sided fashion and after a break out performance in Sunday NBA betting odds matchup by Amare Stoudemire, the Suns also won the first game of the NBA betting series on their home court.
With the basketball betting series at 2-1 in the Lakers’ favor, Game 4 will be a pivotal matchup with the Lakers either taking a commanding 3-1 lead in this NBA playoff betting series or the Suns winning again to even the series at 2-2 as basketball betting fans continue to wait for a team to win on the road and the series to start.
After getting blown out two games in a row in LA the Suns came out of the blocks a bit sluggish in Sunday’s NBA betting matchup and looked as if they might drop a third straight game to the defending NBA wagering champs. Down seven points early the Suns rallied to outscore the Lakers by 10 points in the second quarter and take the lead going into the half.
But in what turned out to be a see-saw second half the Lakers came out of the locker room after half time of this NBA playoff betting game and pulled to within 2 points at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
And that’s when Stoudemire took over putting together the best game of his NBA playoff betting career. He finished the game with 42 points and 11 rebounds and the Suns proved to the sports betting world that they can beat the Suns. Steve Nash was his usual brilliant self with 17 points and 15 assists, though he continued to struggle to find his shots against Derek Fischer.
But even in the win the Suns weaknesses were fully evident and if the Suns want to win another game it will take another 40 point night by one of their players.
