For the 135th time in the history of horse racing odds competition, on May 15th top horses in the world will gather together at the Pimlico Race Course outside of Baltimore Maryland and the Preakness Streaks betting odds competition will get underway. For horse racing betting enthusiasts this is the most exciting time of the year.
With Super Saver already the winner of the first leg of the Triple Crown betting –arguably the most exciting event in sports betting- the run up to the Preakness Stakes is the most thrilling week of the year on the horse racing calendar. Calvin Borel has done it again, a year after taking Mine that Bird the victory circle at Churchill Downs he did it again this year and is once again the focus of the Preakness betting odds action in the run up to the race.
His horse, Super Saver, is good enough to win the Triple Crown, but as sports betting fans know it takes more than just talent to win the most elusive and difficult goal in the horse racing odds competition. Nonetheless, Borel and Super Saver have to be at the top of most horse betting odds makers list when trying to sort out which horse will be the winner at Pimilco on Saturday. Borel is one of the craftiest jockeys in sports betting right now and if he gets that inside rail it’s all but impossible to knock him off him off.
He also has a very good record when the track turns to slop and weather could be a very real concern this year, as it is every in the Preakness betting odds competition. Another Todd Pletcher horse to keep an eye on is Aikenite. Pletcher seems to have an endless supply of top horses and he wouldn’t enter this horse if he didn’t think it didn’t have a good chance to win the second leg of the Triple Crown betting.
Speaking of top trainers, Bob Baffert, will also have a dog in this fight as he’ll send Lookin at Lucky to Pimilico to try and head off another Pletcher win in one of the biggest races in sports betting. Lookin at lucky has only ran two races in 2010 but it’s won one and had show placing in the other and should be a contender in the horse racing odds competition.
